Project Management Director

PURPOSE

The Project Management Director oversees the planning and execution of events, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role coordinates with the operations and logistics teams to manage resources and ensure the successful execution of events.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, budgets, and resources needed to ensure seamless event execution.

Team Leadership: Lead the project management team, delegating tasks and providing guidance to ensure project goals are met efficiently.

Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of each project, managing costs to ensure they align with approved budgets.

Timeline Oversight: Monitor project timelines closely, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines and ensure smooth event delivery.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks in project execution and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring contingency plans are in place.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with the operations and logistics teams to ensure all event components are coordinated and executed effectively.

Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.

Performance Review: Evaluate the performance of project teams and processes, implementing improvements for future events.

 

INTERACTION

Operations Director: to ensure seamless coordination with operations for successful event execution.

Logistics Director: to align logistics support with project timelines and specific requirements for each event.

Business Development Director: for the coordination of proposals and resource planning for project allocation.

 

 

PREREQUISITES

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management.

Proven experience in event planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project).

PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

Demonstrated experience managing budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.

INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (“KPIs”)

1-Percentage of projects completed on or before agreed timelines.

2-Projects executed within approved budget limits.

3-Client satisfaction measured through client feedback or satisfaction surveys post-project.

4-Percentage of identified risks mitigated before impact.

5-Implementation of new tools/processes enhancing project efficiency.
